In an effort to revolutionize New Literacy education for teachers, we focused on streamlining planning, enhancing personalization, and maximizing efficiency through automation. We integrated resources and data insights to streamline planning, personalized teaching to meet diverse student needs, and automated tasks for better resource allocation and administrative efficiency.
Our process for defining the teacher experience in New Literacy education involved synthesizing concepts, identifying core aspects, defining key use cases and features, and creating a holistic view of all touchpoints. We streamlined features, aligned them with the Experience Vision, conducted research, and prioritized aspects based on teacher feedback, resulting in a comprehensive and user-centric journey map.

Our information architecture aimed to create an efficient and personalized hub, connecting all platform facets seamlessly. Our design approach focused on creating a dynamic hub space, where the class home served as the central point of access. Teachers could navigate seamlessly to different sections tailored to their needs.

Teaching Hub for calendar and district syllabus integration.
My Planner for lesson planning. The latter offered a variety of resources, automated recommendations, and customizable features to enhance teaching efficiency and effectiveness.
The New Literacy Experience Vision is guided by four principles, ensuring emotional objectives and alignment with the vision. These principles also serve as criteria for assessing proposed features or initiatives. Tactics and strategies support the vision, including leveraging data, blended design approaches, integrated strands for ELA learning, modular design for adaptability, adherence to standards, interoperability with other platforms, cross-disciplinary support, and incorporation of research-based instructional design practices.

It emphasizes simplicity, removing clutter while maintaining a dynamic user experience. A strong color system enhances clarity, aiding teachers in task differentiation and data interpretation for student support.
